Tindalos: The Hounds of Tindalos
Duties: DNS server
Description:
Tindalos is my combination secondary server and security platform. It's
running assorted security tools, such as nmap, nessus and snort. Not
that I do much from home, but it's nice to have a box for network testing.
It also run secondary DNS for the Mhu-Thulan network, as well as take
over IM/Chat duties for Shub-Internet, thanks to a copy of centericq on the box.
This originally was my primary workstation back in
my Verio days, and I have alot of fond memories attached to this server.

- Dual Intel Pentium 200 processor
- 160 megs RAM
- Seagate 6.4 gig IDE hard drive
- Generic 1meg video card
- Omniview KVM switch (keyboard, mouse and monitor)
- Netgear 10/100bT NIC
