Uxia: For a Squid, she makes a nice laptop
Duties: Portable workstation
Description:
This is the newest computer on the Cabal23 network. She's a replacement
for Hastur, and will be
my mobile desktop. Also running Ubuntu Linux, like most boxes. I haven't
found many headaches in running Linux on a Thinkpad, a few wireless issues
but nothing major.
Unlike my previous laptop, the battery holds a nice charge, though I will
probably pick up a second one in the near future, just in case. And best
of all, it was affordable, gotta love a laptop you can afford without taking
out a major loan. Oh, as for the name. Uxia is named for
Uxia Cambarro, the main female character in the movie
Dagon, aka the Squid With
a Nice Ass. Seemed fitting.
