Yog-Software: The Eater of Emails
Duties: Window game and workstation
Description:
Yog-Software is my Windows workstation/game box. Yog was designed to be
primarily a gamer box, but has been tweaked a bit more to make it more
usable as a workstation and a multimedia box.
Cygwin, to make it more Unix like,
and allow me to setup backups and whatnot. I've also setup iTunes and
configured the box to play streaming video from Netflix. But still, mostly
I'll be gaming on Yog. Now to find games I actually want to play. I've
got Yog linked to Shub-Internet
via Synergy, so I can use Shub's keyboard and mouse to control both boxes.
Very nifty tool. I do have my clicky-clack IBM keyboard and an old ps2 mouse
for backup. But I shouldn't need to use them unless Synergy fails.
I'm looking forward to wasting many hours with games and
videos. :)
